Job Descriptions

We are looking for SEASONED, energetic, and motivated individuals to help us take our Plant Health Care Department to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and help grow the department by providing feedback, insight, and recommendations on operations and territory expansion
  • Advise on marketing strategies pertaining to seasonal pests and diseases
  • Schedule services and daily routes
  • Manage chemical inventory
  • Daily work in the field
  • Supervise (including education and training) 1-2 technicians to support the growth of the department

Requirements

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

  • Valid and insurable New Jersey Drivers’ License with the ability to commute to Morristown, New Jersey
  • Possession of a New Jersey Pesticide Applicators License Core, 3a, 3b, 3c & 8a (must be obtained within 6 months of employment)
  • ISA Arborist Certification (must be obtained within 6 months of employment)

Qualifications:

  • Two/Four-year Degree/Certificate in Horticulture or related field OR minimum of 5 years of industry/field experience
  • Ability to be self-directed, manage time, and complete work in an efficient, professional, and safe manner
  • Positive and energetic outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and to work a minimum of 8 hours a day in a variety of weather conditions performing physical labor
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check

We are looking for energetic and motivated individuals to help us with the management and organization of our yards.

The position requires approximately 40 hours per week, 11 am-7 pm, Monday through Friday. *Seasonal variation in schedule*

Responsibilities:

  • Managing/controlling inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Keeping the yard/fleet vehicles clean and orderly
  • Checking crews out at the end of the day and providing detailed end-of-day reports to Management
  • Picking up tools/supplies with guidance from Fleet Mechanic
  • Completing municipal permits for tree removals with guidance from Sales Arborists

We are looking for SEASONED, energetic, motivated individuals to help us grow our Plant Health Care Department. As a Plant Health Care Technician, you will be responsible for the fertilization and treatment of insect pests and diseases on landscape trees and shrubs.  

Responsibilities:

  • Properly identify and diagnose insects, diseases, and fungal conditions
  • Learn/understand insect & disease life cycles, plant biology, and soil biology
  • Evaluate and recommend treatment options
  • Ensure proper filling/mixing procedures and material dilution are followed
  • Perform prescribed fertilization/pest management application on trees and shrubs using spray and injection tools
  • Communicate with and educate customers on diagnosis and prescribed pest control/fertilization service
  • Continuously monitor the pest control and fertilizing methods after application and communicate progress to customers and Management
  • Perform accurate and timely record-keeping
  • Drive, use, maintain, and properly operate truck and sprayer equipment
  • Adhere to company safety policy as well as state and local regulations

Qualifications:

We are looking for a CDL log truck operator with tree care experience to operate the log trucks in the fleet (knuckle boom and loader with grapple).

Responsibilities:

  • Transport wood products to and from job sites, mills, and yard
  • Use chainsaws to cut wood
  • Assist Tree Crew with operations (as necessary)
  • Responsible for proper care and inspection of log trucks

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a log truck operator in the tree care industry (minimum 2 years of experience in tree care operations)
  • Class B CDL with a valid and insurable driver's license
Experience is desired but not required.
