Sales Arborist

Who We Are

Alpine Tree Service is a high-growth, full-service tree care company serving residential and commercial clients across New Jersey. We operate with a focus on safety, professionalism, and execution — following ANSI standards and delivering a premium customer experience. We are building a team of professionals, not just workers.

The Role

The Sales Arborist is a production sales role. You'll meet clients, diagnose their needs, design solutions, and close work at strong margins. You're responsible for building and managing your own pipeline — not waiting for leads to be handed to you.

This role rewards accountability, pipeline discipline, and follow-through.

What You'll Do

As Alpine's Sales Arborist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Meeting with residential and commercial clients to assess tree care needs

  • Diagnosing issues (tree health, risk, structure) and recommending appropriate services

  • Building and managing a consistent, self-generated pipeline (referrals, networking, repeat clients)

  • Preparing accurate, professional proposals and job scopes

  • Clearly communicating pricing, timelines, and expectations

  • Tracking all activity, follow-ups, and revenue in CRM

  • Collaborating with Operations to ensure jobs are executed properly

  • Owning your numbers: revenue, close rate, average job size, and margin

How We Operate

Sales at Alpine is a production craft. Here's what that looks like in practice:

  • Actively Seek Knowledge: Tree knowledge, sales skill, and efficiency — this role rewards people who actively level up. The best Sales Arborists are part arborist, part advisor, and never satisfied with what they already know.

  • Think Ahead to Solve Problems: You own your pipeline. Leads help — but top performers generate their own opportunities and never let it run dry. You're thinking about next month's revenue while closing this week's deals.

  • Be Adaptable: Every client, property, and tree situation is different. You read the room, adjust your approach, and find the right solution for each scope.

  • Loyalty to the Team: Operations executes what you sell. You scope jobs accurately, communicate clearly with Crew Leads, and don't oversell into chaos. You set the company up to deliver, not just to take the work.

  • Have the Motivation to Be the Best: You produce. This isn't a "relationship manager" role — you're expected to close consistently. The discipline to follow through is what separates the top reps from the rest.
